Rajouri Garden Assembly Constituency Results Highlights: After weeks of aggressive campaigning by the BJP, Congress, and ruling AAP party, and single-phase voting on February 5, the results for the Delhi Assembly Election was released today. The national capital witnessed three-way competition between – the ruling Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP achieved a historic victory in the Delhi Assembly Election results, regaining control of Delhi after 27 years. This win came at the expense of the AAP, with big names, including former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, and Manish Sisodia being defeated in their traditional strongholds.
BJP candidate Manjinder Singh Sirsa won from Rajouri Garden seat, defeating AAP’s Dhanwati Chandela by 18,190 votes.
Rajouri Garden seat was a stronghold of the Aam Adami Party (AAP). The ruling party fielded Dhanwati Chandela, who won the last election from the same seat. In 2015, AAP’s Jarnail Singh won the Assembly Elections from the same constituency. Chandela contested against BJP’s Manjinder Singh Sirsa, who won from the same seat in 2013 when he was with Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD). Congress has fielded Dharmpal Chandila from the same seat.
