Bengaluru City Weather July 15: IMD Issues Red Alert For Heavy Rain, Check Forecast
A red alert for heavy to very heavy rain has been issued for coastal Karnataka for Monday and Tuesday.
Yesterday, the weather department warned of isolated extremely heavy rainfall with winds (40-50 kmph) today.
The city’s minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to hover between 20.27°C and 21.25°C, respectively.
Downpours are also expected in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttar Kannada districts on July 16.
Notably, coastal Karnataka recorded 1,313 mm of rainfall, 11 mm more than normal, between June 1 and July 13.
The Air Quality Index in Bengaluru stands at 15.0, indicating good air quality.
Heavy rainfall has damaged several electric poles and long power supply lines in several districts.
