Because of heavy rains, Bengaluru was waterlogged and traffic was severely disrupted across the city.

Several roads in Bengaluru were damaged after waterlogging following light to moderate showers on Wednesday.

One block at the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences in Bengaluru was inundated, prompting the staff to relocate patients.

Officials said over two dozen trees were uprooted across Bengaluru city after heavy rains.

A large tree trunk fell on Ali Asker Road in central Bengaluru on Wednesday, blocking traffic between Millers Road and Infantry Road.

In the meantime, the IMD said Bengaluru recorded 22.2 mm of rainfall by 8.30 pm on Wednesday.

The weather office predicted light to moderate rains for the city over the next three days.

Apart from waterlogging, the maximum temperature in Bengaluru will be around 27°C.

Bengaluru experienced an unprecedented deluge of heavy rainfall on Wednesday evening.
