The IMD has predicted heavy rains for Noida, Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh and issued a red alert till September 12.
Schools have been closed in Lucknow because of heavy rain alert for Uttar Pradesh.
IMD said heavy rains will continue in UP as monsoon clouds have covered the skies of more than 60 cities.
The monsoon season in Uttar Pradesh will extend till September 17, 2023.
Rainfall in last three days in UP has been recorded as 25.2 mm in Kanpur, 8 mm in Lucknow, 10 mm in Prayagraj and 109 mm in Jhansi.
Kanpur received 422.1 mm rainfall during the monsoon so far.
During G20 Summit, Delhi-NCR experienced heavy rainfall on Saturday and Sunday.
A few locations in Delhi-NCR are expected to have light rain on September 12, IMD predicted.
Heavy rains were recorded in Noida, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad on Saturday and Sunday.
