Haryana Assembly election 2024 schedule, counting date, and other important details

As per Election Commission, the Assembly elections in Haryana will be held on October 5 in a single phase. The counting of votes will be conducted on October 8, 2024.

The Assembly polls will be conducted for 90 seats, of which 17 are reserved for Scheduled Castes. No seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes.

As per the EC, the state has 2.04 crore registered voters, of which 1.07 crore are male and over 95 lakh are female.

The state has over 460 transgender voters and approx. 2.55 lakh voters are senior citizens.

In Haryana, the main fight is among the Congress, BJP, AAP and JJP.

Urban areas consist over 7,100 polling stations, while rural areas have more than 13,490 polling stations.

In 2019 Assembly polls, BJP emerged as single largest party, winning 40 out of 90 seats.
