Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on How to manage anger

Anger is the punishment you give yourself for someone else’s mistakes.

Usually, you give your anger freely and your smile rarely as though a smile is expensive.

Make your smile free like the sunshine and air; and make your anger extremely expensive, like a diamond.

You may remind yourself a hundred times that you shouldn’t get angry, but when the emotion comes, it comes like a storm, you are unable to control it.

Is it of any use getting angry about something which you cannot alter? When the mind is in the present moment, anger appears so meaningless.

For every rhythm in the mind, there is a corresponding rhythm in the breath and for every rhythm in the breath there is a corresponding emotion.

Whether you are eating, walking, taking a shower or sleeping, they remain with you the whole time.

Sometimes they even enter your dreams and disturb you there also.
