Maharaja: Vijay Sethupathi replaced Sivakarthikeyan owing to production issues.

Thuppakki: Suriya was first approached for the film but later went to Vijay and became a commercial success.

800: This biopic on Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan was announced with Vijay Sethupathi but owing to sever backlash he stepped down and Madhur Mittal was recast.

Kaakha Kaakha: This action thriller was offered to Ajith Kumar but refused due to unfinished script. Suriya finally essayed the role and the movie became a hit.

Mudhalvan: Rajnikanth rejected this film due to political themes and his inclination. Hence, it went to Arjun Sarja.

Ghajni: This blockbuster was rejected by R Madhavan because he was not on board with second half. Surya's film was remade in Hindi later too.

Singam: A superhit cop thriller, it was rejected by Thalapathy Vijay.
