Harbhajan Singh's comments towards Jofra Archer came in SRH vs RR IPL 2025 match in Hyderabad on Sunday. “London me kaali taxi ka meter tez bhaagta hai, Aur yaha pe Archer sahab ka meter bhi tez bhaaga hai (Like the meter of London’s black taxis, Archer’s meter has also been on the higher side),” Harbhajan said on air.
Fans want Harbhajan Singh to be banned from IPL commentary immediately. "Harbhajan Singh has called Jofra Archer a black taxi driver with a high meter value just now in the Hindi commentary. This is vile and disgusting. Please ban him," one fan wrote on Twitter.
Jofra Archer bowled most expensive spell in IPL history conceding 76 runs in 4 overs vs SRH as RR lost by 44 runs.
Jofra Archer was bought for Rs 12.5 crore at mega auction by Rajasthan Royals marking his return to franchise in IPL 2025 season.
