Much has been talked about Ambani kids’ wedding and their love stories, but very few know about how Nita Ambani and Mukesh Ambani got married. According to reports, Nita had only one condition to marry Mukesh Ambani and Dhirubhai Ambani wanted only Nita as his daughter-in-law.
As the story goes, when Mukesh Ambani popped the question to Nita, she replied yes, but had one condition which was that she wanted to work even after marriage. It was Mukesh Ambani’s father Dhirubhai Ambani who had introduced both of them to each other. Nita was a trained dancer and Dhirubhai saw Nita performing dance in a program. Dhirubhai was very impressed with Nita wanted her as daughter-in-law of the Ambani family.
A few days passed after the event and Dhirubhai called Nita at her home and asked her to meet him at his office. Nita thought that maybe he wanted to give her a job in his office. But when Nita came, Dhirubhai asked her if she would like to meet his elder son Mukesh Ambani. After this, Nita and Mukesh met for the first time.
Dhirubhai had told Nita that he wanted to make her the daughter-in-law of his house. When Nita met Mukesh, she liked his humble nature but she was not sure about marriage. Mukesh, on the other hand, started liking Nita in the very first meeting. In an interview, Mukesh Ambani had said, “Nita was the first girl after meeting whom I decided that she would be my life partner.”
Nita and Mukesh used to meet often and Mukesh had asked her to marry him many times. Mukesh accepted Nita’s condition and Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani got married in 1985. Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani have 3 children, Akash Ambani, Isha Ambani and Anant Ambani.
