That's the end of Rachin Ravindra. Kumar bowls it on the money, just around the off stump line, on that three-quarter of a length, and gets it to nip away. Rachin Ravindra with barely any footwork, tries to heave across the line of the ball, and swings hard at it. But ends up getting a thick outside edge and the keeper, Ryan Rickelton, does the rest by taking a regulation catch to his left.

Deepak Chahar to Ayush Mhatre, OUT! CAUGHT! The debutant's innings is done. It was a quickfire knock, no doubt, a fantastic 32 (15) but having already got 9 runs from the over, one feels he could have just reigned in his horses. Remember, this is the post-Powerplay period and the field can be spread. Chahar bangs it short, outside off, Ayush Mhatre goes for the pull but gets more height than distance. Mitchell Santner is stationed at long on and takes it calmly, albeit stuttering after catching. But he recovers well, to stay just inside the ropes and the 41-run stand is broken. Chennai Super Kings are now 57/2 after 6.5 overs. Mhatre gets a pat on the back from Suryakumar Yadav, who is his Mumbai teammate in the Ranji Trophy. Good to see.
