Mitchell Starc to Travis Head, OUT! ABHISHEK SHARMA IS RUN OUT! That was pretty casual from Abhishek and Sunrisers Hyderabad lose their first wicket in the first over only! Starc bowls a yorker and around off, Travis Head crouches and looks to jam it out. He gets an underedge, which gets deflected towards point after hitting his back pad. Head calls for a single, and Abhishek Sharma responds but gets there too late. The fielder there, Vipraj Nigam, runs in forward and makes an underarm throw after collecting the ball and hits the stumps at the batter's end. Abhishek Sharma isn't even in the frame when the throw hits the stumps and the square leg umpire raises his finger instantly. The replay shows that Abhishek was not too keen on the single and was actually strolling to the other end. Sharma departs for 1 (1) and Sunrisers Hyderabad are 11/1 after 0.5 overs!
Travis Head c KL Rahul b Mitchell Starc 22 12 4 0 183.33
4.1
Mitchell Starc to Travis Head, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Well time for updating the numbers of Head vs Starc - 8 meetings, 6 dismissals! It just keeps getting from bad to worse for Head against Starc and for SRH against DC today. A short ball, outside off, perhaps a cross-seam delivery, Travis Head backs away to the leg side and flashes hard. But all he manages is a thick outside edge, which is gobbled easily by the keeper, KL Rahul, moving to his left! Head just stands there in disappointment but has to trudge back now. Starc gets his third as Head departs for 22 (12) and Sunrisers Hyderabad are 37/4 after 4.1 overs!
Ishan Kishan c Tristan Stubbs b Mitchell Starc 2 5 0 0 40
2.1
Mitchell Starc to Ishan Kishan, OUT! CAUGHT! Catching practice for Tristan Stubbs. Kishan could not have picked the man any better. A short ball, wide outside off, Ishan Kishan looks to latch onto the width and give it the full treatment. He slashes hard but unfortunately for him, it goes straight to deep backward point! Stubbs, who is a tall lad, calmly waits for the ball to arrive and just jumps a touch to take the catch. Missed out last and misses out this time too, does Kishan. Departs for 2 (5) and Sunrisers Hyderabad are 20/2 after 2.1 overs!
Nitish Kumar Reddy c Axar Patel b Mitchell Starc 0 2 0 0 0
2.3
Mitchell Starc to Nitish Kumar Reddy, OUT! CAUGHT! Are the Sunrisers imploding in the setting sun? Well, not exactly setting but we are into evening time, aren't we? Reddy moves around in his crease and backs away to the leg side, but way too early. Starc spots that and bowls a length ball, with pace taken off. Nitish looks to swing across the line but is early into the shot and is off balance too. Gets a top edge which goes straight up in the air and Axar Patel makes no mistake at mid on. Starc has his second as Nitish Kumar Reddy departs for a 2-baller and Sunrisers Hyderabad are 25/3 after 2.3 overs!
Aniket Verma c Jake Fraser-McGurk b Kuldeep Yadav 74 41 5 6 180.49
15.5
Kuldeep Yadav to Aniket Verma, OUT! CAUGHT! That is a ripper from Jake Fraser-McGurk! A special effort to end a special innings. That probably had another six written on it, which is why, Aniket is on his haunches. A short ball, around leg and middle, Aniket Verma picks the length in a trice and rocks back to pull. However, the ball skids on a touch, cramping him for room. As a result, he cannot get much elevation, but still, there is plenty of power behind the shot. The connection seems to indicate the ball flying over the ropes but Fraser-McGurk at the mid-wicket fence times his leap to perfection to take a stunning catch. The DC fielders crowd the Aussie and poor Aniket has to trudge back for a fantastic 74 (41). Third wicket for Kuldeep as Sunrisers Hyderabad slip from 114/4 to 148/8!
Heinrich Klaasen (W) c Vipraj Nigam b Mohit Sharma 32 19 2 2 168.42
10.5
Mohit Sharma to Heinrich Klaasen, OUT! TAKEN! That is an excellent running catch and Delhi Capitals get a massive wicket here. Mohit Sharma takes pace off, fuller and on off. Heinrich Klaasen looks to whip it away to the leg side but closes his bat face a bit early. The ball takes the leading edge and goes high in the air behind point. Vipraj Nigam runs backwards, twists and turns under the high ball but manages to hold on to it in the end with a slide forward. What a way to break the 77-run stand. Klaasen departs for 32 off 19, and SRH lose half their side now, for 114!
Abhinav Manohar c Faf du Plessis b Kuldeep Yadav 4 6 0 0 66.67
11.6
Kuldeep Yadav to Abhinav Manohar, OUT! TAKEN! Another one bites the dust! Not good batting from Abhinav Manohar, and he walks back cheaply to the hut. Kuldeep Yadav bowls a googly, full and on off. Manohar backs away and tries to go downtown but fails to get underneath the ball. He mistimes it badly towards long off where Faf du Plessis gobbles it up easily. Sunrisers Hyderabad are 119/6!
Pat Cummins (C) c Jake Fraser-McGurk b Kuldeep Yadav 2 7 0 0 28.57
13.6
Kuldeep Yadav to Pat Cummins, OUT! TAKEN! Kuldeep Yadav strikes again! He drags his length back, on off, turns away a bit too. Pat Cummins rocks back to pull it away but has to drag it a bit and fails to get the required power on the shot. The ball flies towards deep square leg where Jake Fraser-McGurk settles under it and pouches it safely. Sunrisers Hyderabad are in big trouble now!
Wiaan Mulder c Faf du Plessis b Mitchell Starc 9 11 1 0 81.82
18.4
Mitchell Starc to Wiaan Mulder, OUT! CAUGHT! Faf takes a blinder and Mitchell Starc gets both - an IPL 5-fer and a provisional Purple Cap! The first Michelle for Mitchell in the IPL. His previous best was 4/15, way back in 2015! Coming to the ball, Starc will have to credit Faf du Plessis for this. A cutter, angling across the right hander, Wiaan Mulder tries to hit it inside out but ends up slicing it. The ball seems to go wide of cover but du Plessis hares across to his right from extra cover and dives full stretch to remind us of the question - Why has Faf retired from international cricket? SUNRISERS HYDERABAD FOLD UP FOR 163 IN 18.4 OVERS!
Harshal Patel c Axar Patel b Mitchell Starc 5 9 0 0 55.56
18.2
Mitchell Starc to Harshal Patel, OUT! CAUGHT! The Delhi skipper has plucked a blinder here! Sunrisers Hyderabad are nine down! Starc bowls it a fuller and around off, from around the wicket, angling it across to the batter. Harshal Patel makes a room bit by going to the leg side and drives it towards mid off. Axar Patel takes a step to his left and puts in a full-stretched dive to his left. In the end, he extends both his arms to catch it. Harshal Patel is in disbelief, but he has to go back to the dressing room.

Zeeshan Ansari to Jake Fraser-McGurk, OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Zeeshan Ansari has the last laugh. He tosses up a googly around off and Fraser-McGurk looks to defend it with a straight bat. But he goes too hard at the ball and ends up chipping a simple return catch to the bowler! So despite going for 15 runs in the over, Ansari has two wickets in the over! Jake Fraser-McGurk departs for 38 (32) and Delhi Capitals slip from 81/0 to 96/2. They need another 68 from 60 balls.

Zeeshan Ansari to Faf du Plessis, OUT! CAUGHT! Wiaan Mulder grabs an excellent catch while running forward! End of a good inning from Faf du Plessis and Zeeshan Ansari picks up his maiden IPL wicket! Ansari gives a flight to the ball and pitches it up, around middle and leg, Faf du Plessis takes a step forward and looks to take it on. He looks to flick it over the mid-wicket fielder but gets a leading edge. The ball skews up high and goes towards wide long on. Wiaan Mulder keeps his eyes on the ball and runs in to his right from long on. He makes a slide forward and takes it with both hands. End of a fine 50 (27) from Faf du Plessis and Delhi Capitals are 81/1.

Zeeshan Ansari to KL Rahul, OUT! BOWLED'EM! Zeeshan Ansari is turning out to be the only bright spot for SRH! He bowls this a bit flatter and quicker, full and around leg, turns away a bit. KL Rahul goes down across to sweep it away, but maybe he goes a bit too far across. He plays all over the ball as it goes around his legs, deflects off the pads to rattle the stumps. Rahul walks back after a few lusty blows, and DC are 115/3 now!
