MASTERSTROKE by BJP? Saffron camp names Rekha Gupta as the next Chief Minister of Delhi

Delhi CM’s name: The suspense over the name of the chief minister of Delhi finally ended on Wednesday with the Bharatiya Janata Party putting a stamp on Rekha Gupta after a series of meetings. Gupta, 41, won the Shalimar Bagh seat in the recent Delhi Assembly election with a margin of close to 30,000 votes. Gupta started her political career with the Delhi University Students Union elections. “Kaam hi Pehchaan” (my work is my identity), is a tagline the BJP leader uses on her website for her campaigns. Rekha Gupta is the second woman chief minister of Delhi after Sushma Swaraj from the saffron camp.

Rekha Gupta is the National Vice President of the BJP Mahila Morcha. She has previously served as the general secretary of Delhi BJP. Gupta graduated from Daulat Ram College and served as the President of DUSU in the 1996-97 session. She was first elected as a councilor from North Pitampura in 2007.

Kejriwal Wishes Rekha Gupta:

“Many congratulations to Rekha Gupta ji on becoming the Chief Minister of Delhi. I hope that she will fulfill all the promises made to the people of Delhi. We will support her in every work for the development and welfare of the people of Delhi,” Kejriwal wrote on X
