Bangladesh drops another SHOCKER, threatens India to extradite Sheikh Hasina or else...

The situation in Bangladesh remains concerning after the removal of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Violence against minority communities, especially Hindus, continues without any signs of stopping. Meanwhile, interim government leader Muhammad Yunus is reportedly working to build an “Axis of Evil” in Asia against India. Recently, Bangladesh Army’s top general, Qamarul Hasan, visited Pakistan and met with its army chief, Asim Munir. Yunus is now sending his foreign affairs advisor, Tauhid Hussain to China, and the outcome of this move is yet to be seen.

Tauhid Hussain, the foreign affairs advisor of Bangladesh’s interim government, will visit China from January 20 to 24. During his trip, he is expected to meet Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, as announced by Beijing on Friday. Hussain will be the highest-ranking official from the interim government to visit China since former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fled to India in August last year after massive public protests. Her government was replaced by the interim administration led by Nobel Peace Prize-winning economist Muhammad Yunus.

Sheikh Hasina visited China before coup

Just days before massive protests erupted in Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina made an official visit to China. However, shortly after her return, her government was overthrown. Following the rise of the interim government, the ruling Chinese Communist Party hosted delegations from Bangladesh’s opposition parties, including the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and the radical Jamaat-e-Islami.

Focus on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)

Commenting on Tauhid Hussain’s visit, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated during a media briefing that China is eager to enhance dialogue with Bangladesh at various levels. He emphasized the importance of building political trust, promoting high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and deepening exchanges and collaboration in other areas. Guo added that China aims to further strengthen the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two nations.
