Israel has launched direct strikes on Iran as part of an escalating conflict in West Asia. On October 26, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) targeted key military sites in Iran. Following the attacks, airlines began avoiding Iranian airspace, as tracked by FlightRadar24. IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari said Israel has the right to respond to attacks from Iran and its allies. Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Gallant are actively overseeing the operation, called 'Ops Iran.
Tensions have been rising since October 1, when Iran fired 200 missiles at Israel its second direct attack in six months. Iran claimed the missiles targeted Israeli military sites, in retaliation for Israel's killing of top Hezbollah leaders in Lebanon.
