New Delhi: Business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita will attend US President-elect Donald Trump’s second inauguration. A picture of Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita with the newly elected US President Donald Trump has gone viral on social media. The photo was taken a day before Trump’s second inauguration in Washington, DC.

The Ambani family arrived in Washington on January 18. They are among the select 100 people who participated in a special ‘candlelit dinner’ with Trump. They also met Vice President-elect JD and Usha Vance. The Ambani family will attend the inauguration ceremony on January 20, at the personal invitation of the Trump family.

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) shared a picture of Ambani and Trump on the social media platform X. The company posted, “In a private welcome ceremony in Washington, Nita and Mukesh Ambani congratulated President-elect Donald Trump before his inauguration. With the shared hope of further strengthening India-U.S. relations, they wished him a transformative tenure of leadership that will pave the way for unprecedented progress and cooperation for both countries and the world.”

Donald Trump and Mukesh Ambani:

The Ambani family has always maintained a good relationship with the Trump family. To recall, during the Global Entrepreneurship Summit held in Hyderabad in 2017, Mukesh Ambani was present with Ivanka Trump. Ivanka was serving as President Trump’s advisor at the time.

Ambani was also present during Trump’s visit to India in February 2020. Ivanka, her husband Jared Kushner, and their eldest daughter Arabella Rose are among the prominent personalities expected to attend the three-day pre-wedding ceremony in March 2024 in Jamnagar, Gujarat, for Ambani’s youngest son Anant and Radhika Merchant.

The most notable thing is that several wealthy donors have pledged to contribute up to $1 million to Trump’s inauguration committee to secure access and VIP treatment during the inauguration. However, the Ambani family has received a personal invitation from the Trump family.

Star-Studded Event

Trump’s second inauguration is likely to be a star-studded event. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, along with their respective spouses First Lady Jill Biden and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, as also former Presidents Barack Obama, George W Bush, and Bill Clinton are expected to attend.

The world’s three richest people – tech entrepreneur and Trump’s most vocal supporter Elon Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Apple chief executive Tim Cook, and chief executive of Facebook’s parent firm Mark Zuckerberg – will have a prominent spot at the ceremony.

Other Big Tech executives who will reportedly be in attendance are OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Google chief executive Sundar Pichai, and Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi.
