New Delhi: US President elect Donald Trump has made a made a startling revelation according to which the Democratic Party has paid millions of dollars to celebrities to endorse Kamala Harris, his rival candidate in the US Presidential elections.

In a post on Truth Social, Donald Trump claimed that the Democrats spent huge money gather the support of celebrities and media personalities like Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, and Reverend Al Sharpton. Trump said the actions were “totally against the law.”

The president-elect wrote on Truth Social: “Are the Democrats allowed to pay $11,000,000, $2,000,000, and $500,000 to get the ENDORSEMENT of Beyoncé, Oprah, and Reverend Al? I don’t think so! Beyoncé didn’t sing, Oprah didn’t do much of anything (she called it “expenses”), and Al is just a third rate Con Man. So what is going on here??? Totally against the law, and I have heard there are many others!!!”

It is still uncertain where did Trump find the figures he mentioned in his post.

Trump mentioned specific amounts of $11 million, $2 million, and $500,000 as he charged the Democrats of paying this money to get commendations and endorsements as he referred to Sharpton as a “third-rate con man.”

For the records, Beyoncé and Oprah did appear alongside Kamala Harris during her presidential campaign.

While Beyoncé performed at events, Oprah hosted a live-stream event in September. Sharpton, the civil rights leader and MSNBC host, interviewed Harris and held a rally to encourage people to vote.

According to the charges, his non-profit, the National Action Network, reportedly received a $500,000 donation from Harris’ campaign, although MSNBC stated it was unaware of any such donation, according to reports.

Oprah Winfrey has denied being paid for her support as she specified that her production company, Harpo, was only remunerated for providing production services for the event. Initially, reports suggested Harpo received $1 million, but it was later revealed that the actual payment was closer to $2.5 million.
