The India vs Pakistan ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final ODI was held on Sunday, 18 June at The Oval, London, England. The final match of the Champions Trophy saw a resurgence of the Pakistan cricket team that has been battling poor form and political trouble in its country for the past few years now, reducing its bowlers and batsmen to a shadow of what they used to be. Beating favourites India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final match has been a big morale booster for the Pakistan cricket team, including the captain Sarfraz Ahmed and some of the fresh players who played the Champions Trophy for the first time or played against India for the first time. Pakistan's score was 338/4 in 50 overs while India were bowled out at just 158 in 30.3 overs in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final.

Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has been panned for losing the final match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 and that too, against arch-rivals Pakistan. But he has taken it in good spirit and congratulate the Pakistan team. But Indian coach Anil Kumble, a record-breaking international bowler, has resigned from his post following continued clashes with skipper Kohli. Meanwhile, the Pakistan cricket team has got a grand welcome back home, with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as well as several private parties announcing a cash reward for each player for their victory against India. The players will also get a good sum of money from the Pakistan Cricket Board as per their contract. Captain Sarfraz Ahmed has been promoted as Test Captain of Pakistan and also rewarded a BMW and a flat on a Geo TV show. Congratulations to Pakistan on winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
