Mukesh Ambani news: In a major milestone for Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and its Chairman Mukesh Ambani, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has secured the second position in the FutureBrand Index 2024, surpassing global business giants like Apple and Nike. In the historic achievement, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has become the first Indian company to be included in the top three of this prestigious global rankings by FutureBrand Index 2024. Here are all the details about the recent performance of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL).

Readers should note that in the FutureBrand Index, companies are evaluated on the basis of brand perception rather than their financial performance, which is somewhat an unique set of measurement.

About FutureBrand Index

“The FutureBrand Index goes beyond stock prices and market caps, exploring how the world’s top 100 companies unite purpose and experience. With a decade of data and a world of insights, we don’t just rank brands, we’ve distilled our findings to understand the critical actions of what makes a future brand”, the website of the organisation said about the index.

Reliance overtakes Apple, Nike, Netflix, Microsoft, Intel

As told earlier, the FutureBrand Index ranks companies based on brand perception rather than financial performance and consequently, South Korean company Samsung secured the top spot in 2024. Indian business giant Reliance Industries made a remarkable leap from its 13th place in 2023 to second rank in 2024, surpassing global giants like Apple, Nike, Netflix, Microsoft, Intel, Disney, and Toyota.

Notably, this rise is reportedly driven by strong consumer trust, strategic expansion, and a robust presence in key sectors like energy, telecom, and retail that Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Industries has shown in the recent past. Moreover, Reliance’s continued focus on diversification and innovation has also strengthened its global brand image, solidifying its global reputation.

Reliance Consumer Products enters UAE

Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) arm of Reliance Industries Limited, on Tuesday launched the Indian legacy brand, Campa, in the UAE.
The announcement was made at the 30th edition of Gulfood, the world’s largest Food and Beverage (F&B) sourcing event.

The company said in a release that this debut marks RCPL’s first entry into the United Arab Emirates and reaffirms its long-term commitment to the region. Since acquiring Campa Cola in 2022 and reintroducing it to India in 2023, RCPL has successfully revived the heritage brand that held cult status in India in the 1970s and 1980s.
