Mount Hermon is located on the border between Syria and Lebanon, with a height of 9,232 feet, making it Syria's highest mountain peak. A buffer zone was established by the United Nations between Israel and Syria. Israel has captured this peak for decades. The southern part of Mount Hermon extends into the Golan Heights, with a peak elevation of 7,336 feet.
