Israel-Turkey conflict: In a significant development coming from Middle east, tensions between two power sources, Israel and Turkey are rising once again. In the recent development, it has been reported that the rising tensions have been caused due to the concerns about their neighbouring war-torn country, Syria. Notably, Israeli military officials have said that Turkey is increasing its presence at the airbase in Syria, leading to possible conflicts in the region. According to a report by The War Zone, a senior IDF official has stated that Turkey is in negotiations with Syria’s new government for a security agreement. However, Israel believes this deal could allow Turkish fighter jets, such as the F-16, to operate in Syria. The official warned that the establishment of a Turkish air force base in Palmyra could escalate regional tensions, as Israel’s security can be under threat due to Turkey’s military presence in the strategic locations.

Israel says strikes hits sites in Syria, Lebanon

The Israeli military said that its Air Force struck “over 430” locations in Gaza since the resumption of its deadly air and ground campaign in the enclave. In a statement, the military claimed all of them were “terror targets.”

The renewed attacks on Gaza since March 18 ended a two-month ceasefire and, according to Gaza’s health authorities, killed about 830 people. No Israeli fatalities have been reported, Xinhua news agency reported.

Syria’s interim leadership announces new ‘transitional government’

Syrian leader Ahmed al-Sharaa has announced the formation of a “transitional government” in the Syrian capital of Damascus.

The announcement, initially scheduled for earlier this month, came on Saturday amid international calls for an inclusive Syrian transition following recent sectarian bloodshed, as the country’s new leaders seek to reunite and rebuild Syria and its institutions after overthrowing former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government on December 8 which brought an end to 14 years of civil war.
