Looking fit is their currency, and everyone ensures to keep their best foot forward. With the pressure of maintaining oneself at all times, many celebrities often resort to beauty trends that can help them attain quick results. However, some actors don’t believe in quick fixes or fad diets; instead, they opt for sustainable choices that can improve their overall well-being and yield long-term results.

One actor who has taken an unconventional route, eschewing shortcuts like fad diets or surgeries, is Ram Kapoor. Shedding a whopping 55 kilos, Ram Kapoor’s dramatic transformation has taken social media by storm. Ram Kapoor’s weight loss wasn’t just about vanity; it also reflects discipline, mental strength, and determination.

This isn’t the first time Ram Kapoor has been in the headlines for his drastic transformation. When Ram shared his transformation pictures on social media, rumors circulated about him using Ozempic to add weight loss however, Kapoor has openly denied using weight loss medication or undergoing any surgery. In an interview on December 24, 2024, he disclosed, “Believe it or not, I did it the old-fashioned way—by changing my mindset, lifestyle, and habits. No surgery, no external aids.” He stressed that fitness to him was not only numbers on a scale. “It’s about feeling strong, energetic, and healthy. Staying fit is a continuous journey, not a one-time event.”

Ram’s dedication went past the body. “I’m like my 25-year-old self again—mentally, emotionally, physically. I’m able to walk 12 hours without a rest,” he further added. During six months, he lost from 140 kg to 85 kg, deeming the journey “deeply personal.

His wife, Gautami Kapoor brought more light on the sacrifices made. She revealed that Ram went to the extent of taking ‘extreme steps’ to regain his health, such as 24-hour and 48-hour fasts. But the real turning point was provided by their daughter Siya, who had already lost 38 kg and became a source of strength for Ram. “They were determined. Almost starving themselves. Siya warned me not to interfere,” Gautami confessed.

The process wasn’t merely challenging for Ram, but for the whole family. “We quit socialising, stopped venturing out, and totally reduced outside food—things we enjoyed doing,” Gautami said.

Although the process they undertook was certainly grueling and not suggested for all, Ram Kapoor’s journey is a reminder that with enough dedication and hard work, anything is possible.

From 92 kgs to 81 kgs: Sameera Reddy shares how she lost 11 kilos with.. https://www.india.com/health/from-92-kgs-to-81-kgs-sameera-reddy-shares-how-she-lost-11-kilos-with-7809243/ Fri, 09 May 2025 05:11:34 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7809243 In the glitzy and glamorous world of Bollywood, people are obsessed with staying fit and looking young. Many people resort to beauty trends to get quicker results. Real transformation requires persistence, strength, and discipline, which is not everybody’s cup of tea. However, there is one such actress and mother of two who doesn’t believe in fad diets or filters, instead, she has taken the sustainable route for her overall well-being and transformation.

The person we are talking about is none other than actress Sameera Reddy. The ‘De Dana Dan’ actress lost almost 11 kilos in one year and is currently inspiring everybody with her transformation, not by going for quick fixes or striving to be skinny but just by focusing on ageing healthily, creating strength, and being present with herself.

Wake-up call for Sameera came on her birthday, 14 December 2024, when she realised she was frustrated with weight fluctuations. “It actually started when I realised that constantly yo-yoing with my weight wasn’t sustainable”.  The perpetual yo-yo of weight loss was unsustainable, and the quest for slenderness was not worth the physical and emotional toll. Her epiphany? Long-term health was all about accepting consistency, not quick fixes.

Rather than following extreme trends, she concentrated on developing healthy habits—exercising 4–5 times a week and prioritising fitness no matter how busy life became. Her exercise became her self-care, not a punishment for eating.

Sameera refrained from fad diets and began paying attention to portion control and well-balanced meals. She even further said that banning certain food groups or starving does not bring sustainable outcomes. “There are no severe restrictions,” she stated, mentioning that one needs to facilitate her workouts by feeding the right stuff, but not through deprivation.

Sameera also emphasised the emotional side of transformation- “You have to be your own biggest cheerleader.” Though her family was supportive, she stressed that change really starts from within. “Not everybody is going to cheer you on, and that’s okay. You have to show up for yourself,” she told others to do vision boards, set goals, and have faith in the process.

Her journey serves as a reminder that wellness is not about chasing skinny bodies but about feeling strong, confident, and grounded in your own skin, on your own terms.

Mukesh Ambani’s family, Sachin Tendulkar’s former health coach warns against consumption of bread, says… https://www.india.com/health/your-stomach-will-become-mukesh-ambanis-former-health-coach-dr-mickey-mehta-gives-serious-warning-against-consumption-of-bread-7808943/ Fri, 09 May 2025 01:42:10 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7808943 Are you among those who consume bread as their staple breakfast meal? If yes, then you need to pause and rethink. This easy and puffy item is a daily breakfast option for the majority of Indian households however, it is not as healthy as you think.

Health coach Dr. Mickey Mehta, who has worked with top families such as the Ambanis, Birlas, and even Sachin Tendulkar, recently expressed his worries regarding the daily bread consumption. In a series of comments and a social media post, he made some stern warnings regarding its effect on digestion and overall well-being in the long run.

According to Dr. Mehta, consuming white bread daily can cause gut imbalance and toxicity, eventually turning your stomach into a “gutter”.  The health coach further added that white bread is one of the most dangerous yet commonly consumed foods due to its highly processed nature and lack of nutritional value.

Recalling a disturbing experience, Dr. Mehta spoke about an experience when his own daughter became dizzy after going overboard with multigrain bread consumption. During medical examination, physicians diagnosed her with Auto-Brewery Syndrome, an unusual condition where undigested carbohydrates ferment in the intestine and produce alcohol-like symptoms. The startling discovery pointed out the hidden risk of processed carbohydrates.

Dr. Mehta also stressed that if one cannot completely stop having bread, one should have it only when they are very hungry and do not have anything else to eat. He suggests having it with psyllium husk (Isabgol) at night or in the morning to cleanse the intestines.

He also cautioned that the gut is most affected by regular bread consumption and that it can significantly interfere with digestion. He said that bread, particularly white bread, is fiber-deficient, causes bloating, raises blood sugar, and could even be a cause of long-term health issues.

According to research, it has also been found that this high-carb, low-nutrition item also has a high glycemic index that can lead to a spike in blood sugar level, heart diseases, and obesity if overconsumed.

While it may increase your serotonin and make you feel content, it may be adversely affecting your digestive health. The next time you grab a slice, it may be worth taking a moment and asking: Is this truly the best option for my body?

Kareena kapoor doesn’t focus on weight loss only on.., her workout secret is… https://www.india.com/health/kareena-kapoor-doesnt-focus-on-weight-loss-only-on-her-workout-secret-is-7799660/ Mon, 05 May 2025 10:53:25 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7799660 In today’s golden era of Bollywood, everybody is obsessed with staying fit and looking good. However, one such actress who has been a symbol of strength, grace, and natural beauty is Kareena Kapoor. Bebo has always managed to make headlines for her fit appearance, whether it was her dramatic size-zero transformation for Tashan or her glowing postpartum looks, she has always managed to stay fit—without succumbing to fads. Interestingly, her secret isn’t about aggressive workouts or starvation diets. It’s yoga.

Her trainer, Anshuka Parwani, has revealed that Kareena has never focused on losing weight. “She never says, ‘I want to lose weight.’ At most, she’s said, ‘I’d like to drop a waist size,’” Parwani revealed in an interview. Instead, her fitness mantra revolves around building inner strength, flexibility, and emotional balance, making yoga the heart of her regimen. She alternates it with animal flows, strength, and cardio, but yoga remains her constant.

Most of us, like Kareena, want a smaller waistline. In today’s world, where body image expectations are ever-changing, most individuals want a toned waistline—not only for appearance, but to enhance overall health and strength. Whereas heavy gym sessions and crash diets tend to offer quick fixes that may be unsustainable or even dangerous, yoga provides a tried-and-tested, holistic method of sculpting your waist and developing a stronger core.

Here are some yoga poses inspired by Kareena Kapoor that can help you attain a smaller waist.

1. Trikonasana (Triangle Pose)

This pose strengthens the thighs, obliques, and side waist while improving balance and flexibility. The torso stretch helps burn fat around the midsection and releases physical and mental tension.
How to do it: Stand wide apart, spread arms out sideways, bend forward to your right side, and reach with your right hand and touch your right shin or ankle. Bring up your left arm.
Hold and breathe deeply.
Benefit: Reduces waist fat, makes the balance strong, and releases mental tension.

2. Naukasana (Boat Pose)

This is one of the key master poses of the core that specifically engages the abdominal muscles, fortifies the lower back, and improves stability of the core.
How to do it: Lie on your back, raise your legs and chest at the same time, and stretch your arms to your feet to make a “V” shape.
Hold for 15-30 seconds and repeat.
Benefit: Increases core strength and melts resistant belly fat.

3. Ardha Matsyendrasana (Half Lord of the Fishes Pose)

This seated twist cleanses organs, increases digestion, and enhances metabolism—all of which support waist trimming.
How to do it: Sit with legs extended, bend right knee over left leg, twist to the right with right hand behind and left elbow outside the right knee.
Hold, breathe, then switch sides.
Benefit: Tones the waistline and helps digestion.

4. Parivrtta Utkatasana (Revolved Chair Pose)

Also called the yoga squat with a twist, it engages oblique muscles and your glutes and thighs.
How to do it: From a squat, turn torso to one side and hook elbow outside the opposite knee.
Hold, breathe, and repeat on both sides.
Benefit: Tones the waist and improves digestion.

5. Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose)

This backbend strengthens spine, tones abs, and improves posture.
How to do it: Lie on stomach, position palms under shoulders, lift chest on arm strength while keeping elbows slightly bent.
Hold for 15-20 seconds.
Benefit: Opens up the core and tones abdominal muscles.

6. Vasisthasana (Side Plank Pose)

An intermediate core-strengthening pose that tones the waist and arms.
How to do it: From plank, transfer weight to one arm, place feet on top of each other, and raise the other arm.
Hold for 20-30 seconds and change sides.
Benefit: Tightens the side waist and improves balance.

These postures, if practiced regularly, can maintain a fit, healthy body and make you feel grounded and energetic—naturally and consciously.

You wont believe how much Mukesh Ambani paid Mika Singh to perform at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant wedding https://www.india.com/health/you-wont-believe-how-much-mukesh-ambani-paid-mika-singh-to-perform-at-anant-ambani-and-radhika-merchant-wedding-7799304/ Mon, 05 May 2025 08:25:18 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7799304 In today’s social media-driven world, celebrities, influencers, and public figures are constantly under the spotlight. Every aspect of their lives, from red carpet appearances to airport fashion, is scrutinized and dissected. When it comes to major events like weddings, they inevitably become grand spectacles, with every detail – from attire to guest lists – being meticulously analysed online. These events often blur the lines between joyful celebrations and displays of status, prestige, and influence. With lavish displays, such as helicopter arrivals and performances by international stars, weddings have become platforms to showcase power and opulence. Frequently, it’s not the love story or cultural rituals that make headlines, but rather the A-list guest list and the extravagant gifts that accompany them.

One such wedding that captured the nation’s attention was the grand union of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, a star-studded event that brought together Bollywood’s elite and India’s top industrialists. But besides the guest list that had who’s who of Bollywood, another detail that sparked conversation all over social media was the exclusive distribution of luxury watches, which seemed to be reserved for a select few.

In a podcast, Singer Mika Singh recently revealed receiving handsome fees for his performance during the Anant-Radhika wedding. He revealed the money he received was good to keep him well for 5 years but what left the bruise wasn’t the handsome paycheck but the fact that he didn’t receive – limited-edition 2 crore Audemars Piguet watch — a present, as Mika says, liberally given away to wealthier celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh.

In  Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Mika vented his light-hearted annoyance at not being included in this upper echelon of talented guests who received the watch. “Sab ameeron ko de diya,” he said, observing that even the richest guests got the timepiece. To him, it wasn’t the cost of the watch but the feeling — the sense of belonging. “Main bhi apna haath ghusaunga,” he joked

Reading on with his humorous but acerbic tone, Mika addressed Anant Ambani directly, expressing that he feels one day, out of love or mere frustration, the watch will find its way to him. “Anant bhai, mujhe pata hai aap mujhse dukhi ho ke, naraaz ho ke, ek na ek din ghadi doge. Aur main bhi pyaar se le ke hi rahunga. Mera haq banta hai .”

Even though he was open about the handsome sum he was paid, he was upset about not getting the watch. Mika’s narrative highlights that there is favouritism in Bollywood.

Meet man who helped Nita Ambani shed 18 Kilos, his fees will surprise you, he charges Rs… https://www.india.com/health/meet-man-who-helped-nita-ambani-shed-18-kilos-his-fees-will-surprise-you-he-charges-rs-7798966/ Mon, 05 May 2025 06:04:15 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7798966 In today’s world of Social media, where everything is about image, being fit is more than just an individual choice; it’s a need, especially for celebrities. Being in the public eye, whose every move is watched diligently. From red carpet events, movie screenings, to even being papped out of the airport, public figures are compelled to take care of their appearance and work on their overall health. Whether it’s an actor who’s trying to fit into a role for a movie or some influencer just focusing on their overall well-being, personal training, tailored diets, and holistic wellness regimens are thriving in this industry, and are at the peak of their profession as fitness has become a full-time endeavor.

Behind these high-profile transformations are star fitness trainers who craft individualised programs combining exercise, diet, and self-discipline. Among the many celebrity trainers, one professional whose fitness routine recommendations have been doing rounds is Vinod Channa, a fitness trainer behind some of the physiques of Bollywood celebrities and business tycoons.

Vinod Channa rose to national fame for guiding Anant Ambani’s dramatic 100+ kilo weight loss. He also played a crucial role in helping Nita Ambani lose 18 kilos, creating a fitness journey based on smart exercise selection and disciplined nutrition. His method is not just about quick weight loss but building long-term physical and mental strength.

Channa recommends that clients exercise larger muscle groups, such as the legs, chest, and back, which consume more calories, before proceeding to core exercises. To lose belly fat and build core strength, he isolates important muscles such as the rectus abdominis, obliques, and transverse abdominis. He further suggests consuming food at regular intervals to maintain metabolism throughout the day.

Vinod regularly posts expert advice on his Instagram, and his previous blog post on losing belly fat has also come up again, providing advice for beginners beginning their change.

But what will surprise you is Vinod Channa’s whopping fees. Vinod Channa’s charges allegedly range from ₹1.5 lakh to ₹5 lakh monthly. He charges approximately 1.5 lakhs for 12 sessions a month and around 3.5 lakhs to 5 lakhs for the home session.

His success demonstrates one thing: with the right guidance, absolute discipline, and the proper approach, no change is impossible — celebrity or not.

Alaya F’s fitness secrets revealed: Inside her 75 hard wellness routine https://www.india.com/health/alaya-fs-fitness-secrets-revealed-inside-her-75-hard-wellness-routine-7798924/ Mon, 05 May 2025 04:40:20 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7798924 In the glamorous world of Bollywood, people are obsessed with looking youthful and staying fit. Fitness for them isn’t just about well-being, but it’s their currency.  The requirement for fitness in Bollywood has shifted from professional an individual choice to a requirement. Actors these days are not just screen artists, but they are also influencers whose lifestyle, fitness choices, and wellness routines are followed religiously. One such actress whose fitness routine is creating a buzz these days is of Alaya F.
At the forefront of this new generation of wellness-oriented celebrities is Alaya F, who has emerged as the newest to enter the elite club of Bollywood fitness aficionados. However, rather than mere gym routines and fad diets, Alaya has gone on to devote herself to something much more rigorous — the world-renowned 75 Hard challenge.
Talking on the HSBC podcast On Realign Season 3, the 27-year-old actress revealed about her new emphasis on fitness and mental toughness. “I just recently restarted this thing called the 75 Hard,” she revealed. “It consists of two workouts a day — one indoors and one outdoors — each of at least 45 minutes.”

What is 75 Hard?

Designed by entrepreneur Andy Frisella, 75 Hard is a mental toughness program disguised as a fitness challenge. Over 75 continuous days, participants must follow a strict routine with no exceptions and no excuses. The rules are:
1.Complete two 45-minute workouts daily, one of which must be outdoors,
2.Drink 3.8 litres (1 gallon) of water every day,
3.Read 10 pages of a nonfiction/self-help book (audiobooks don’t count),
4. Follow a strict diet with no cheat meals whatsoever,
5. No drinking.
If you skip even one activity on one day — whether it’s missing a workout or reading only 9 pages — you have to begin again from Day 1.
For Alaya, that kind of discipline is what makes the challenge so strong. “Even if I fall asleep on the ninth page of reading, I wake up and start again from day one,” she explained. “That’s the kind of mindset it creates — total commitment.”
In addition to her physical regimen, Alaya also includes 10 minutes of meditation in her daily routine, overlaying a component of mental sharpness and composure onto her rigorous plan.
When asked where she was at in the journey currently, she laughed and said, “Day 4.” It’s a testament to her commitment — understanding that even the smallest mistakes mean starting over, but being motivated enough to continue.
Alaya F’s experience with 75 Hard is more than a health fad — it’s a testament to Bollywood’s changing attitude towards fitness. It’s not about looking good on camera anymore. It’s about turning up, being disciplined, and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone — body and mind.

Kapil Sharma leave fans shocked with his transformative look.., his diet is.. https://www.india.com/health/kapil-sharma-leave-fans-shocked-with-his-transformative-look-his-diet-is-7796061/ Sat, 03 May 2025 11:49:32 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7796061 Kapil Sharma, one of India’s favourite comedians and actors, has always managed to win the heart of the audience and get the spotlight.
Whether through his quick wit or his iconic on-screen performances. But lately, it’s not his comedy that’s making headlines; it’s his remarkable physical transformation.

This is not the first time that Kapil Sharma has gathered headlines for his weight loss. Before this also Kapil has also been in the news for his transformative avatar. However, recently, fans caught a peek into this fresh beginning as Kapil posted a motivational video on Instagram. Walking on the idyllic hills while jogging, sporting a black jacket, light orange track trousers, and a cap, he seemed fresh and determined. With earphones plugged in and Imagine Dragons’ popular song Believer playing in the background, Kapil captioned the video, “Push harder, Nature has your back mountains #gratitude.” The post touched the hearts of his followers, with praise for his perseverance and optimism.

However, Kapil Sharma’s transformation is not a result of an overnight transformation, it is his dedication, consistency, and hard work that have been giving him gradual results. Kapil’s weight loss journey wasn’t just about his athletics,, but he got compelled into it for his overall well-being. Kapil decided to take his life in his hands and with the guidance of a trainer his trainer, Yogesh Bhatia, he followed a systematic workout routine and well planned diet.  His diet consisted of high-protein foods such as fish, lean meat, boiled vegetables, vitamin C-rich fruits, and complex carbohydrates — all designed according to his body type and fitness objectives.

His training sessions, which took almost two hours a day, included weight training, cardio, functional fitness, and even hydro workouts — an added feature that enabled him to train in water, building endurance and muscle strength. He also dabbled in kickboxing, which not only burned calories but also improved his stamina and agility. On or off the set, Kapil’s discipline was unbroken.

Looking the viral video, Netizens had their opinions. “Great transformation!” wrote one Instagram user, while another added humorously, “Now he should launch a show called Bhaag Kapil Bhaag!” Some even wondered if the transformation had the help of new weight-reduction medicines such as Ozempic — although his steady public exertions suggest a more natural and disciplined route.

While Kapil keeps entertaining fans with his fitness transformation, he’s also gearing up for his return to the big screen. He will be reprising his role in the sequel of his 2015 debut film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. The first one, directed by Abbas-Mustan, featured Kapil handling multiple relationships in a hilarious romantic comedy. This time, the sequel, directed by director Anukalp Goswami, guarantees new chaos, a new plot, and an even more polished version of the actor.

Kapil Sharma’s transformation is more than a physical one — it’s a reflection of perseverance, self-care, and the power of personal growth. Whether on stage, screen, or the jogging track, he’s proving that laughter and fitness can go hand in hand.

Weight loss story: Hansal Mehta reveals how he lost 10 kilos at 60 with… https://www.india.com/health/weight-loss-story-hansal-mehta-reveals-how-he-lost-10-kilos-at-60-with-7795482/ Sat, 03 May 2025 06:10:19 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7795482 In the glamorous world of Bollywood, staying fit and looking youthful is not a choice but more of a need. There is tremendous pressure to stay fit. In the quest for physical perfection, people usually go for fad diets, crash diets, and even cosmetic interventions. However, for one such celebrity, his transformation journey wasn’t about vanity, but he was compelled to undergo transformation to tackle his health and attain over all well being.

The transformation we are talking about is of the very famous director, Hansal Mehta, who was famously known for storytelling, and he recently gathered a lot of eyeballs for his transformation. Hansal openly revealed that his weight loss was a mix of using Mounjaro (tirzepatide)—a drug created to treat type 2 diabetes—to treat prediabetes and weight gain, and a strict regimen.

The 60-year-old director, Hansal Mehta’s transformation isn’t just about weight loss but its a tale of reagaining health, confidence and self esteem. Mehta was able to lose 10 kilos while having to deal with the stigma of using such medications.

This wasn’t a shortcut, according to Mehta, but a guided process that included professional medical oversight. He combined Mounjaro with protein-based meals, intermittent fasting, and strength training to enhance outcomes. The medication alone wasn’t the miracle; it was a tool, and he used it as such. Physicians also warn that Mounjaro isn’t for all. It mimics insulin-regulating hormones and suppresses appetite by affecting brain signals. But specialists emphasize that it is best taken with a long-term adjustment of lifestyle.

A professional, Dr. Namgyal, has also spoken about how this drug aids in weight loss by enhancing insulin action and muscle protection. However, he mentions that it needs to be done under careful observation and medical advice. “It works, but only if it’s used correctly,” he advises.

Additionally, Dr. Gangopadhyay cautions that withdrawal from the drug without maintaining lifestyle changes will result in rebound weight gain. Side effects such as nausea, vomiting, or constipation also occur initially, though most consumers adapt eventually.

What’s most remarkable about Mehta’s account is not merely the physical change but the mental change. He candidly challenged the shame surrounding receiving medical assistance for being overweight. “There’s no shame in taking charge of your health,” he said, inviting others to avail responsible, doctor-assisted treatment.

Hansal Mehta’s transformation is a reminder that change takes real efforts and seeking professional help with right lifestyle choices can give drastic results.

Weight loss story: Farah Khan reveals how she transformed her body at 60.., her diet is.. https://www.india.com/health/weight-loss-story-farah-khans-drastic-transformation-secrets-at-60-revealed-her-diet-is-7795355/ Sat, 03 May 2025 04:35:22 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7795355 In a world that’s obsessed with looking good and staying fit, people are often looking for quick fixes that can give them results faster; however, there is one such celebrity who decided to take charge of her health, but with sustainable and practical lifestyle choices.

At a time when most people slow down, the celebrated filmmaker and choreographer, Farah Khan,  known for her creative brilliance, stunned everyone not with a blockbuster but with a quiet, determined transformation.

Proving that age is just a number, Farah at 60 decided to start her remarkable transformation journey. What is so special about her journey isn’t the weight loss, but the approach—easy, down-to-earth changes that anyone can adopt.

Farah’s journey started with a change from a sedentary to an active lifestyle. Having a 35th-floor apartment in a high-rise building, she first refused even to step out. But when she began opting for the stairs instead of the elevator, it was the start of a dramatic change. She started with two stories and progressed until she climbed as many as 28 stories every day—an activity that became the foundation of her exercise routine. This low-tech, high-octane ritual not only extended her endurance but also consumed calories and strengthened cardiovascular health, sugar control, blood pressure, and cholesterol.

Besides incorporating this low-tech, high-impact activity, she also did water-based workouts such as walking in the pool, jumping jacks, and wall glides. These hydro exercises, easier on the joints and especially beneficial for those with conditions like osteoarthritis, helped improve her strength, balance, and lung capacity. Early morning sessions in the water added variety and motivation to her routine, making exercise feel less like a chore and more like a lifestyle choice.

Coming to her diet, Nutrition played an equally critical role in her journey. Instead of opting for any extreme fad diets or starving herself, Farah practiced mindful eating, she did portion control, and focused on eating nourishing, balanced meals. Her day started with protein-rich breakfasts and fiber-filled salads while avoiding processed and sugary items. A crucial element of her diet strategy was having her last meal by 7:30 p.m., which boosted metabolism and supported weight management.

Guided by trainer Yogesh Bhateja, Farah stuck to a routine that emphasized sustainability over shortcuts. She avoided fad diets and committed to long-term wellness through consistent habits.

Farah’s weight loss journey is proof that with enough determination and the right mindset, one can achieve any goal at any age.

From 130 kgs to 70 kgs: Woman reveals how she lost 60 kilos with… https://www.india.com/health/from-130-kgs-to-70-kgs-woman-reveals-how-she-lost-60-kilos-with-7790772/ Thu, 01 May 2025 07:46:26 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7790772 In a world obsessed with fad diets and quick fixes, few people have the patience and discipline to undergo a weight loss transformation. Weight loss requires persistence and consistency, but most people seek overnight makeovers and quick results. However, one woman defied this trend by choosing sustainable options that yielded long-term results.

The beauty and lifestyle influencer Simran Poonia’s story is not just about physical transformation but also about mental strength and consistency. From childhood, Simran faced bullying from relatives and friends, leading to low self-esteem. This low confidence pushed her toward loneliness and nicotine dependence, among other ailments. But instead of letting that define her life, she rewrote her script, demonstrating strength and consistency.

In 2020, a trip to Bali served as a wake-up call for Simran. Although she went on holiday, she returned with an awakening experience. While climbing stairs during the trip, she found herself grasping for breath. Instead of brooding, she decided it was time to turn her life around. Simran didn’t rely on shortcuts or drastic measures – no crash diets or costly operations. She opted for raw determination and consistent progress. She cut sugar from her diet, stopped smoking, and began taking daily strolls. Initially, even a 700-meter walk seemed daunting, but she remained patient and consistent, gradually building her stamina over time. Walking became a therapeutic activity that combined cardio and self-love. Significantly, she often walked with her grandfather, making exercise a valued bonding experience rather than a punishment.

Social media played a huge role in Simran’s journey. As she shared her transformation online, the community rallied around her with support and encouragement. Many praised her bravery, commenting, “You’ve always been beautiful – inside and out!” and “This is the most real and inspiring transformation I’ve ever seen.” The overwhelming love and motivation from strangers helped her stay focused and driven. On days when doubts and exhaustion crept in, Simran learned to become her own biggest supporter. What initially felt like a burden – exercise, healthy eating, discipline – gradually became habits she owned. Her transformation was not only physical but also emotional and mental. She transformed pain into power and limitations into strength.

From 120 to 70 kilos, Simran’s transformation wasn’t about vanity; it was about taking charge of her life, gaining confidence, and developing a healthy relationship with her body that could last. Pakistani actress Hania Aamir becomes a meme target after Indian fans send her water bottles, Watch viral video https://www.india.com/health/pakistani-actress-hania-aamir-becomes-a-meme-target-after-indian-fans-send-her-water-bottles-watch-viral-video-7788499/ Wed, 30 Apr 2025 07:03:13 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7788499 The recent terror attack in Pahalgam, India, has taken the entire nation by storm.  Not only did it shake India, but it also evoked a wave of political and emotional reaction on both sides of the border. Considering the tension between Pakistan and India since the attack, India issued a strict five-point action plan, including the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960.  However, in between this tense atmosphere,  a viral video made with the intention of humour has been doing the rounds on the internet, which is sparking controversy for Hania Aamir.

After the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty, Hania Aamir, who shares a huge fan base in India, got into an uncalled controversy. A bunch of her Indian fans shared a video filling a carton with water bottles that read “To Hania Aamir. Rawal Pind. Punjab, Pakistan.”. From India.” The video was allegedly created as a meme in response to India’s five-point action plan.  The satire was intended to comment on Pakistan’s current water crisis amid heightening India-Pakistan tensions.

What may have been intended as a light-hearted video soon drew the ire of netizens who criticized the timing as particularly inappropriate. With lives lost and emotions fresh over the Pahalgam tragedy, many believed it was not the right time to make a joke out of such a solemn issue. Social media users criticised the makers of the video for desensitizing the situation and trivializing its magnitude.

Hania Aamir was one of the first Pakistani stars to express her heartfelt condolences regarding the Pahalgam terror attack.  In a touching Instagram story, she posted:
“Tragedy anywhere is a tragedy for all of us. My heart is with the innocent lives affected by the recent events. In pain, in grief, and in hope—we are one.”
She replied it with another message highlighting humanity and collective pain:
“When innocent lives are taken, the pain isn’t theirs alone—it is ours. Regardless of where we’re from, sorrow is a language that everyone can understand. May we elect for humanity, always.”

Despite her solidarity with the victims, Hania found herself in the spotlight again—this time for reasons beyond her control. Reports suggest that following the meme controversy, she has been dropped from the upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3, where she was rumored to be paired opposite Diljit Dosanjh. Sources claim the filmmakers are considering reshooting her scenes with another actress, though no official confirmation has been released.

The actor has claimed to have healed himself with the help of urine therapy or urotherapy. It is the process of drinking one’ own urine for healing. These claims have sparked a controversy online around the medical consistency of the measure adopted by the ‘Hera Pheri’ actor. In a conversation with The Lallantop, Rawal shared about the time when he was admitted to Nanavati Max Superciality Hospital after getting injured. “Veeru Devgan had come to visit when I was in Nanavati (hospital). When he got to know I was there, he came up to me and asked what happened to me? I told him about my leg injury…. He told me to drink my own urine first thing in the morning. He shared that all fighters do this, saying that ‘You will never face any problem, just drink urine first thing in the morning’. He told me not to consume alcohol, which I had stopped, mutton or tobacco. He told me to eat regular food and urine in the morning,”  the actor shared,

Online Controversy

Some medical experts have expressed concerns over the mater on the internet and also warned against potential health risks. Internet’s famous ‘Liver Dc,’ Dr Cyriac Abby Philips, took to social media and responded, “Please don’t drink your urine (or others) because a Bollywood actor says so. There is no scientific evidence to support the idea that drinking urine provides any health benefits.” Dr Philips explained that urine contains toxins and waste that are actually removed from the body. “Consuming urine can be harmful, potentially introducing bacteria, toxins, and other harmful substances into the bloodstream. Your kidneys work very hard to remove toxic stuff out of your body through urine. Don’t insult it by putting it back in,” he wrote.

Several other doctors have expressed concern over the urine therapy. While the practice has been part of history since ages, here is hardly any conclusive data that suggests about scietifically proves substantial benefits. According to the American Cancer Society, “available scientific evidence does not support claims that urine or urea given in any form is helpful for cancer patients.”

Weight loss story: R Madhavan reveals how he maintains a toned body at 54 without gym or any crash diet.., his diet is… https://www.india.com/health/weight-loss-story-r-madhavan-reveals-how-he-maintains-a-toned-body-at-54-without-gym-or-any-crash-diet-his-diet-is-7779197/ Fri, 25 Apr 2025 12:03:58 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7779197 In the glamorous world of Bollywood, where celebrities are obsessed with looking fit and young, weight loss is often shown as a luxury that only celebrities and influencers can afford. But real transformation isn’t about a fancy fad diet or an expensive gym membership, it’s more about humble and sustainable choices that will not only help you shed kilos but also promote overall fitness. Weight loss requires discipline, consistency, and hard work. One such actor who has been the evidence of this is  R Madhavan. The 52-year-old actor’s transformation has surprised everyone, and his youthful and lean look is inspiring everybody.

In a social media confession, Madhavan revealed how he lost weight not only by vigorous exercise or some crash diet, but by tweaking his eating habits and incorporating discipline. Back in 2022, Madhavan gained weight for his character in the film Roketry: The Nambi Effect, and later he got on shape again.

The Intermittent Fasting Advantage

Madhavan reveals how he has adapted intermittent fasting as his weight loss technique. Restricting his eating window, he used to have his first meal after an elongated period of fasting. His last meal, dinner, would be around 6:45 PM, and he wouldn’t eat anything after that. This technique ensures that he has sufficient time to digest food, repair, and recover. This technique also helps in boosting metabolism as well as burning fat.

Chew Well, Digest Better

Another quirky practice Madhavan swears by is chewing food 45–60 times before swallowing. “Drink your food and chew your water,” he quoted – emphasizing how conscious chewing aids in improved digestion and nutrient absorption.

The 3 PM Cut-off Rule

Madhavan never eats raw food after 3 PM. After lunch, he eats only cooked food, as it is gentle on the system and does not lead to bloating. Ayurvedic philosophy dictates this measure, which prevents the digestive system from slowing down during the later part of the day.

Processed Foods? A Big No

He’s done away with all processed foods altogether. From cookies to candies and cakes, he’s ditched everything artificial and replaced them with clean, made-at-home meals that are good for the stomach and full of nutrients.

Walking – His Only Exercise

Unlike most celebs who use high-intensity training, Madhavan doesn’t make it to the gym. Instead, he walks – 1.5 hours in the morning and another hour at night. No sprints, no cardio equipment – just plain walking, every single day.

No Screens Before Bedtime

In order to get a restful night’s sleep, Madhavan turns off all screens at least 90 minutes before he retires to bed. This ensures that his sleep cycle is regulated properly, leading to better hormonal balance and clear thinking.

Water, Vegetables & Balance

Another pillar of his regimen is hydration. He has lots of liquids during the day and eats a mix of vegetables with his food. His interest is in food that is easy to metabolise and good for the body.

In his own words: “I only ate food that was good for my body. No exercise. No running. No surgery. No medication. Nothing.”

Madhvan’s weight loss journey is proof that even at 54 one can attain whatever they want with enough dedication, patience and consistency.

Weight loss is often shown as a luxury with its complicated organic diets and expensive gym membership, but sometimes true transformation comes from real people choosing more real and sustainable life choices. One such shining example is Anandita De, daughter of famous columnist Shobhaa De, whose transformation is not merely about vanity through fancy diet and expensive gym studio workout, but it’s more about choosing discipline, consistency, and hard work over shortcuts and quick results.

Her journey wasn’t merely about changing her aesthetics but more about shifting her mindset “I’m not on any diet.. I’ve not gone to any health specialist or nutritionist. Just used my common sense. I eat sensibly,” she explained Instead of following diet trends she belives in simple and wholesome diet “From being someone who used to eat nearly a whole packet of chocolate chip cookies for breakfast… now simply drinking my morning staple, one cup of coffee without any accompaniments… I’ve come a long way.”

Wake-up call for Anandita was when she learnt about her health. “I wanted to reverse my type 2 diabetes,” she says.  She could attain this goal in 2 months of her new regimen. She also saw a change in her menstrual cycle. “I’m very proud to say that I never used to get my monthly period cycles for years… Very proud yet humbled to mention that I now do”, she shares.

Anandita’s strategy is surprisingly practical. “I don’t think I believe in starvation. I believe in eating consciously and controlling portions.” Her diet is uncomplicated—home-cooked oats or fruits for breakfast, poha without oil, lean meat or chapati for dinner, with low oil vegetables. “I’m a chapati person, and that too I don’t apply any added oil, clarified butter, ghee.”

She also steers clear of “fads” such as millet-based options. “They don’t suit me, and they do make me feel very heavy on the stomach lining.” Fried foods, potatoes, fizzy beverages, and booze have all been eliminated from her diet. If she feels like having something sweet, she has “a fruit or an occasional date. Natural sugars every now and again, are fine!

But it wasn’t just about food. Exercise—specifically walking—played a massive role. “I walk every day… 1.5 hours in the morning and 1 hour in the evening. Daily. Without fail.” For Anandita, fitness became a tool to regulate her anxiety and sleep patterns. “I’ve been a clinical anxiety patient and insomniac since 2018… my mind shift has changed 100 percent from August 2024 to the present.”

Her message is one of patience, resilience, and internal strength. “Just be super consistent with your diet and exercise routine… My favourite statement to quote is ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day.’ Be patient and diligently follow a set routine you’ve set yourself.”

Anandita’s weight loss journey is a reminder that with enough discipline and consistency, everything is possible.

One such actress who has been inspiring her fans with her drastic weight loss is Bollywood star is Sara Ali Khan.

According to her weight loss trainer and nutritionist, Sumit Sharma, shares that the secret to Sara’s weight loss isn’t expensive supplements or missing meals, it’s more about listening to your body, understanding what to eat and what to skip. Sumit also shares an Instagram post that talks about the philosophy of Sara Ali Khan’s weight loss: “Weight loss is easy if you know what to eat and when to eat.”

A Simple Diet with Powerful Results

Breakfast:

Sumit recommends beginning the day with a nutritious combination of sprouts, coconut, dry fruits, raw vegetables, and seasonal fruits. This combination isn’t only invigorating—it is loaded with healthy fats, fiber, and nutrients that fill you up and concentrate your mind.

Lunch:

A bowl of lentils (dal) served with rice—easy, protein-based, and light to digest. It’s not about gourmet meals but about portions and balance.

Dinner:

For lunch, he suggests millet roti with seasonal sabzi. This is light, nutritious, and easy on the digestive system—ideal for ending your day.

He also provides a golden rule: “Don’t forget to have a bowl of salad before both lunch and dinner.” This tiny step can work wonders for digestion, prevent overeating, and increase fiber consumption.

What She Avoids

Sara’s personal guideline is evident: no carbs, no milk, no sugar. As she shared with Pinkvilla, “I follow a strict no sugar, no milk, and no carbs diet.” This strategy assisted her in eliminating inflammation-inducing foods while enhancing gut health and energy levels.

Sumit endorses this plan and suggests excluding milk, sugar, refined flour, and wheat to speed up weight loss. These foods, he says, slow down metabolism and cause bloating.

The Takeaway

Sara Ali Khan transformation journey is not merely about losing weight but it also speaks about incorporating sustainable habits for long-haul results. Mindful eating, understanding your body can help you reach your fitness dreams without any rigorous exercises or crash diet.

Weight loss story: How Kareena Kapoor Khan lost 20 kilos despite having paranthas with ghee.., her diet is.. https://www.india.com/health/weight-loss-story-how-kareena-kapoor-khan-lost-20-kilos-despite-having-paranthas-with-ghee-her-diet-is-7775936/ Thu, 24 Apr 2025 08:10:49 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7775936 In the glamorous world of Bollywood, where everyone wants to look fit and youthful, celebrities usually choose fad diets and rigorous workout regimes to get fast results. Even though celebrities undergo dramatic transformations now and then, for their character or to look younger on screen, weight loss is not a cakewalk. It requires dedication, persistence, and discipline. In the constant pressure to fit into shrinking beauty standards, most celebrities go with this quick solution; however, real, sustainable solutions rarely look like what social media portrays.

True wellness isn’t about depriving yourself of nourishment, but it is more about switching to healthier and sustainable lifestyle choices. One such actress who has embodied better than the rest is Kareena Kapoor Khan. Instead of starving or being deprived of nourishment, Kareena honored the needs of her body and worked on it, not against it.

Bebo’s transformation journey in 2018 during Tashan didn’t begin in the gym or at the film set, but it started with self-awareness and balance.  In 2018, Kareena revealed, “Meals are as basic as doodhi sabzi, karela subzi, one roti, and a bowl of rice. Dinner can be different versions of soups.” Kareena opted for a simple meal plan that had fewer restrictions.  Even today, her comfort food is as basic as Khichdi or lentil rice.

Kareena has always been upfront about her love for food and how she refrains from starving herself “I’d love to make this fact clear: I lost weight the right way. I’m a Kapoor with a Punjabi build. I can’t live starving myself, without wholesome food, and would not have been able to conceive had I not eaten the way I did.” She added, “Rujuta always had things sorted out for me, balancing the right amount of fat in my diet. I trusted her blindly, even when I was told to consume parathas with ghee.”

Kareena’s transformation during Tashan was highly talked about. Shedding 20 kilos. She credited this transformation to her dietician Rujuta Diwekar, saying, “I blindly followed Diwekar’s diet plan.” Refuting media rumours about surviving on oranges, she made it clear, “Diwekar was strongly against starvation and told her to not skip meals but watch portions.”

Kareena credits her nutritionist for her healthier self, diligently following their advice.  Sharing her nutritionist’s remedies, she says, “Sometimes, I call her and tell her if I feel acidic after a string of late-night commitments or when travelling. Instead of prescribing medication, she’ll recommend I have a glass of chilled milk with gulkand in it. On other occasions, she’ll ask me to have water with kesar to flush out toxins. Her methods work well for me.”

Kareena’s fitness also incorporates physical movement besides her healthy diet. She is a big fan of Pilates and firmly believes in not spending more than 55 minutes in the gym. She shares, “We started our journey with me executing a mere eight repetitions in each exercise because I had a weak back post-delivery. Today, Namrata and I trained together and executed a high-intensity class that involved 20–30 reps, one after another.”

Kareena Kapoor has never shied away from promoting body positivity. Being one of the few actresses who even walked on the runway embracing her baby bump, Kareena Kapoor has always celebrated the changing body of women in different phases of life. She says. “I was bearing a child. It was obvious that I would put on weight. But I wasn’t [rattled]. I enjoyed my pregnancy. I loved it. Losing the weight after that was another journey… I’m comfortable in any shape and size.”

Kareena Kapoor fitness journey isn’t about Vanity but its more about celebrating your body, understanding its needs and switching to more sustainable and healthier lifestyle choice that focuses on over all well-being.

Her journey shows that with enough dedication and spirit, a person can win even in the darkest times.

For Archana Kapoor Nagpal, her journey wasn’t about appearance, but the wake-up call was when she endured chronic pain from endometriosis, a condition that pushed her into a relentless cycle of surgeries and hospital visits. In a post, Archana shared that there were moments when life offered her no real choices — only the will to survive and adapt; therefore, her transformation wasn’t about defeat but more about reclaiming her power.  What followed was a courageous transformation sparked by an inner resolve to not just survive, but thrive.

Taking to her Instagram, the lifestyle influencer recently shared a heartfelt post of her journey with a side-by-side comparison- an older photo when she weighed heavier and a recent image showcasing her drastically slimmer self. Once weighing 85 kilograms, Archana brought her weight down to 53 kg. However, this transformation was beyond her physical appearance, it reflected a metamorphosis of the mind, body, and soul.. As she puts it, “It was not about losing weight, but gaining life.”

Focusing on her holistic wellness, Archana reveals that yoga helped her to enhance her physical health and fitness and even her mental well-being.  Being a yoga educator and self-proclaimed fitness enthusiast herself, Archana persuades her followers to pay focus on life enhancement instead of just weight loss. “Don’t aim to lose weight; aim to gain life,” she concluded.

Giving a glimpse of her lifestyle to her followers, Archana shares sneak peeks of what she eats in a day. Resharing a tweet of a Bengaluru-based cardiologist, she gave a hint of what she eats in a day – Low-fat, wholesome Indian dishes like idlis, sambar, and rotis with sabji, complemented by yogurt, watermelon juice, and black coffee, replacing high-glycemic foods like rice.  She says retweeting the post,  “Sharing it as it is worth sharing. I read your story @DrDeepakKrishn1
And I must say, I was inspired. I took a quick break of 45 days with a small shift in my life for better fitness. Thank you Doctor…”

Archana’s narrative is based on stronger advocacy. She is a TEDx speaker, an NLP practitioner, and an accredited self-love coach. Her life-changing activity reaches beyond the online world—she has spearheaded national campaigns such as the Menstrual Health Awareness initiative in 2022, reaching more than 1,300 young women throughout India.

She has also been pageant-celebrated as she won Mrs. India Karnataka in 2018 and participated in the Mrs. India national finals. Above all crowns and titles, however, she leaves behind the real legacy that is her work in empowering other people. Along with co-founding the Awespire Foundation, she gives voice to girls and women with storytelling and picture-based learning strategies. Her campaigns also involve forging safe and safe spaces for members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Archana’s transformation is evidence that genuine wellness isn’t merely fitness—it’s healing, reclaiming your power and keep going no matter how often life knocks you off your feet.

Weight loss story: Aamir Khan fitness secrets revealed..,his diet is… https://www.india.com/health/weight-loss-story-aamir-khan-fitness-secrets-revealed-his-diet-is-7773395/ Wed, 23 Apr 2025 07:32:19 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7773395 In the dazzling world of Bollywood, looking fit and youthful is of the utmost importance. While many celebrities undergo major transformations to align with their characters’ demands, some do it out of vanity. However, one such actor whose fitness and transformation inspire many is Aamir Khan. Being a firm believer in old-fashioned solutions, Aamir doesn’t believe in quick fixes or fad diets, instead, he believes in a method that’s backed by science for decades – Calorie deficit.

Undergoing multiple transformations over the years, Aamir revealed the secrets of fitness during the time Dangal was released. He said, “I gave myself five months. Diet played the most important role. People think that just workouts can help. But if the diet is not right, then you can’t do it. Diet is number one. Fifty per cent is diet. 25 per cent is workout and 25 per cent is rest. Give yourself rest. Sleep for eight hours straight. Until you do that, your body won’t feel the difference,”

Instead of depriving his body of sufficient nutrition or going for quick fixes, Aamir maintained a healthy balance while staying in a calorie deficit. He focused on the traditional method of consuming fewer calories than the body burns, persuading the body to use stored fat for energy, thereby leading to a gradual and sustainable weight loss.

What is Calorie deficit?

Calorie deficit is a weight loss technique where the person consumes fewer calories than what they burn, which in turn leads to weight loss. As described by nutritionists, our body uses calories as energy for basic functioning, like digestion, breathing, thinking, and moving. When the intake is less than the expenditure, the body compensates by tapping into stored fat—leading to fat loss over time.

If a person is using 2,000 units of energy but consumes only 1500 calories, the 500 gap will be compensated by burning stored fat, leading to around 3500 calories deficit, over a week, which is roughly around one pound of fat. This number can further be increased if physical activity is incorporated along with it.

Aamir Khan’s Approach

In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama,  Aamir highlighted that diet plays the most critical role in any fitness journey. He also emphasized the importance of getting eight hours of uninterrupted sleep and following a well-balanced meal plan that includes carbs, proteins, fats, fiber, and essential minerals like sodium.

Conclusion

Aamir Khan’s old-fashioned approach to transformation reminds us that weight loss doesn’t have to be complicated, even the simplest diet can give us great results.
