Here’s the latest update https://www.india.com/education/cbse-board-result-2025-will-class-10-12-results-be-delayed-due-to-escalating-india-pakistan-tensions-operation-sindoor-heres-the-latest-update-7809404/ Fri, 09 May 2025 06:08:52 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7809404 The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to announce the CBSE Board Result 2025 anytime soon. Once the results are made public, students can access their scores on the official websites—cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in. However, the recent military action by Indian forces against Pakistan might potentially lead to disruptions in the planned schedule.

Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, uncertainty looms over the release of CBSE Class 10 and 12 results, leaving students across the country anxious. Concerned parents and guardians are closely monitoring the situation, unsure of how the ongoing conflict might affect the academic calendar. The prevailing unrest has added to the stress of millions awaiting their exam results. As of now, the CBSE has not issued any official statement about delays or changes to the result declaration schedule.

Neither CBSE Board officials nor the Controller of Examinations has issued any statement or published an official notice regarding the situation on the board’s website. Based on past trends, the board typically announces the Class 10 and Class 12 results in May, often on the same day. In 2024, both results were announced on May 13, and a similar timeline is expected this year as well. A student must enter his/her Roll Number, School Number, Admit Card ID (as given on their admit card), Date Of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY), and Security Pin to download their CBSE board result.

Students are advised to stay away from unverified and fake news. They are requested to always rely on updates from the official CBSE website. As of now, the CBSE official website has not published any notice regarding the release date of the results. Please rely solely on official announcements from CBSE to stay informed and avoid misinformation.

Every year, lakhs of aspirants compete for a handful of top spots, but only a few manage to succeed, especially on their first try. Chandrajyoti Singh stands out as one of those rare achievers. In 2019, she cleared the prestigious exam in her very first attempt and secured an impressive All India Rank of 28—all without the help of any coaching classes.

Coming from a family rooted in discipline and service, Chandrajyoti was deeply inspired by her parents, both of whom served in the Indian Army. Her father, Colonel Dalbara Singh (Retd), and her mother, Lt Colonel Meena Singh (Retd), a former army radiologist, have been her strongest support system throughout her journey.

Growing up in an Army family, Chandrajyoti Singh lived in several cities across India during her school years. This experience not only shaped her personality but also gave her a disciplined approach to life. She completed her Class 10 from APJ School in Jalandhar, scoring a perfect 10 CGPA, and went on to secure 95.4 per cent in her Class 12 board exams from Bhawan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh. In 2015, she moved to Delhi for higher education.

Chandrajyoti pursued a double major at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University—earning a degree in History with a minor in Political Science. She graduated with a CGPA of 7.73, as listed on her LinkedIn profile.

After college, she took a one-year break to prepare for the UPSC Civil Services Exam. Her study strategy was well-structured—she focused on current affairs and general knowledge in the mornings and covered other subjects in the latter half of the day. Initially studying for 6–8 hours daily, she increased her study time to nearly 10 hours as the exam neared. She also revised thoroughly with the help of test series.

Following her success in the UPSC exam, Chandrajyoti underwent officer training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie from August 2020 to October 2022. After that, she served a four-month stint in the Ministry of External Affairs as an Assistant Secretary. In October 2022, she began her administrative career in Punjab, where she was appointed as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Sultanpur Lodhi.

As per latest report she is now charge as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), in Roopnagar, Punjab.

But did you know that there is a tiny village in Dhar district in Madhya Pradesh, which has churned out more than 100 IAS officers, and almost every student here who opts for NEET or JEE, has achieved success in these exams? Let us find out more

‘Village of Officers’

Padiyal, a remote, tribal-dominated village in Dhar district has earned the moniker ‘village of officers’, and for good reason. According to various media reports, this tribal-dominated village in Madhya Pradesh’s Malwa region has a population of just over 5,000 people, out of which more than 100 native sons and daughters are working as civil servants across different parts of India.

Around 90 percent of Padiyal natives belong to the Bhil tribe– an ethnic community native to central Indian states, including Dhar, Jhabua and West Nimar districts of Madhya Pradesh, Dhule and Jalgaon in Maharashtra, and in parts of Rajasthan.

90 percent literacy, high quality of education

According to the Madhya Pradesh government Padiyal village has a literacy rate of over 90 percent, and more than 100 people from the village  are serving in the Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Administrative Service (IAS), and other central civil services. Additionally, there are scores of others who are lower court judges, engineers, doctors, prosecution officers, forest officers, among others.

In a statement, the state government claimed that every household in Padiyal has at least one government employee. There are a total of 300 families living in the village. According to the government, the youth of the village started appearing in competitive examinations since independence.

Beyond its high literacy rate, the quality of education in Padiyal is even more remarkable with various reports claiming that 4 out of 7 school children here have cleared the NEET test, while the remaining 3 have cracked JEE Mains in 2024, an astonishing feat for a such a remotely-located region which lacks facilities found in urban and semi-urban areas.

Secret behind Padiyal’s success

Manoj Dubey, who has served as a block resource centre official in the area for an extended time bears witness to Padiyal’s success stories. Dubey says that unlike other villages, Padiyal has focused on providing education to children, and students here usually begin preparing for competitive exams from a very early age.

UPSC rank holder Poorva Choudhary, who secured AIR 533 in UPSC Civil Services exam, lands in controversy due to…., father says… https://www.india.com/education/upsc-rank-holder-poorva-choudhary-who-secured-air-533-in-upsc-civil-services-exam-lands-in-controversy-due-to-father-says-7798359/ Sun, 04 May 2025 17:05:16 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7798359 The Civil Services Examination (CSE) is one of the toughest examinations in the country. Every year, thousands of candidates appear for this competitive exam; those who qualify the preliminary stage move on to the mains examination, followed by the interview round. Recently, UPSC declared the Civil Services(Main) Examination 2024 final result. Poorva Choudhary secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 533 in the UPSC Civil Services (Main) Examination 2024.

Poorva Choudhary obtained 771 marks in the written examination and 165 marks in the personality test. Overall, she achieved a total of 936 marks. However, Poorva Choudhary has found herself at the center of an online controversy, with several social media users questioning her eligibility under the Other Backward Class (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) quota. In response to these allegations, her father has issued a statement addressing the concerns.

Refuting the allegations, Poorva Choudhary’s father, Omprakash Saharan, a Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officer currently serving as the Additional District Collector in Kotputli, stated that many people making such claims lacked a proper understanding of the applicable rules and regulations.

In an interview with India Today,  Poorva Choudhary’s father, Omprakash Saharan stated, “In the case of direct RAS recruitment before the age of 40, the OBC NCL benefit does not apply. I became an RAS officer at 44. So, the claim that my daughter misused the certificate is completely untrue.”

Furthermore, Saharan explained that the same guideline applies to promotions or appointments to Class I positions—if such a promotion occurs before the age of 40, the child becomes ineligible for the OBC NCL quota. “That’s not my case,” he clarified dismissing the claims.

Highlighting the rapid spread of misinformation on social media, Saharan remarked,“People follow herd mentality. UPSC is a trending topic right now, and many use it to gain views and followers.”

The controversy was sparked after Poorva Choudhary’s sister, Navya Saharan, shared a celebratory video on Instagram following the UPSC results. The reel, which included several pictures of Poorva—one of them taken outside the UPSC building—was captioned: “✨ Sibling goals? One cracked the most difficult exam in our country. The other’s writing this caption!!!😌😚

“The video features several pictures of Poorva Choudhary, including one taken in front of the UPSC building, possibly on the day of her personality test (interview). The video is set to the background music of ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram from the Bollywood movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The comment section is filled with congratulatory messages.”

However, the tone of the conversation changed after social media users spotted “OBC” mentioned in the official results, sparking speculation about Poorva’s eligibility—particularly in light of her father’s current senior position.

According to government guidelines, children of Group A officers who are promoted after the age of 40 remain eligible for reservation benefits, as long as the family’s annual income—excluding income from agriculture—does not exceed ₹8 lakh.

Over 20.8 lakh students appeared for NEET UG 2025; Exam held smoothly across India and abroad https://www.india.com/education/over-20-8-lakh-students-appeared-for-neet-ug-2025-exam-held-smoothly-across-india-and-abroad-7798327/ Sun, 04 May 2025 15:30:15 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7798327 More than 20.8 lakh students appeared for the NEET UG 2025 exam, which was held on Sunday across 548 cities in India and 14 international centres. According to sources from the Ministry of Education, the exam was conducted smoothly without any major problems or cheating cases, ANI reported.

“Over 20.8 lakh students gave the exam. It went smoothly, without a doubt,” a source said. Only small issues like students arriving late or being confused about the dress code were reported. “No unfair means or violations have been reported till now,” the source was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts this medical entrance test, took a strong and well-planned approach involving many government departments to ensure the exam was held fairly and securely.

A Centralised Control Room was set up under the Ministry of Education. Officials from the Ministries of Health and Family Welfare, Home Affairs, Defence, and Electronics & IT (MeitY) worked together in this control room. They closely monitored the exam with help from local district officials and police teams across the country.

To make supervision better, some higher education institutions were chosen to work with local authorities at the exam centres. On May 3, mock drills were held at all 5,453 centres to check if everything was working properly, like biometric verification, mobile jammers, frisking teams, and other logistics.

Most exam centres were set up in government or government-aided schools and colleges, as they are seen as more trustworthy. Since the exam was held in the afternoon during peak summer, authorities made sure drinking water, electricity backup, portable toilets, and first-aid were available at every centre.

To stop fake news and cheating, the NTA launched a special portal on April 26 where people could report suspicious claims. Over 2,300 complaints were received, mostly about fake messages on social media claiming leaked question papers. Officials found 106 Telegram channels and 16 Instagram pages spreading such false information. Complaints have been filed with the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (14C). Action is being taken, and requests have been sent to social media platforms to remove such posts and share admin details.

Even on the day of the exam, fresh complaints were made against some active Telegram and Instagram channels. The ministry confirmed to ANI that these complaints are also being looked into by 14C.

Meet man who topped IIT-JEE with AIR 1, secured 360 out of 360 score, he skipped placement due to… https://www.india.com/education/meet-kalpit-veerwal-who-topped-iit-jee-with-air-1-secured-360-out-of-360-score-he-skipped-placement-youtube-7797986/ Sun, 04 May 2025 12:45:15 +0000 https://www.india.com/?p=7797986 IIT Success story: Considered to be one of the toughest in the country, the IIT JEE (Indian Institute of Technology – Joint Entrance Exam) is an exam that demands high level of hard work, strategic planning and talent. Every year, hundreds of students attempt the exam but only a handful of them actually get success. However, here is a success story about about an aspirant who cleared the Indian Institute of Technology – Joint Entrance Exam with full marks. Here is the success journey of IIT JEE topper Kalpit Veerwal.

Kalpit Veerwal topped the IIT JEE exam with a perfect score of 360 out of 360. Kalpit attained the All India Rank 1 in JEE Mains 2017 with the full marks and following his achievement, he pursued a degree in computer science engineering at IIT Bombay from 2017 to 2021.

“I did not study for 15 hours a day, I did not go down the usual ‘Kota route’ for IIT preparations but consistent studies helped me a lot”, Kalpit shared about his preparation to news agency PTI in 2017.

Topper strategy by JEE topper Kalpit Veerwal

”I literally scored full marks in JEE Main 2017 (AIR 1) and didn’t study half as much. Students who study this much usually end up burnt out, with skill issues,” Kalpit wrote on X about his preparation.

”I had received multiple offers from Kota coaching’s to stay in their VIP hostel and stuff, they were even paying me to attend their classes. I rejected and stayed in Udaipur only, I used to play cricket, watch TV, etc with regular 8+ hours of studies. And I still felt pretty burnt out by the time I entered college, my whole first semester in IITB was enjoying lol”, he added.

While he was in his college, he started his YouTube account during his second year at IIT and this is why he did not take the placement.

These exams serve as a gateway for students to pursue their desired courses in fields such as engineering, medical sciences, management, and humanities. There are a handful of aspirants who clear the exam in the first attempt and secure admission to their desired college, such as IIT. However, their passion doesn’t stop there. And Satvat Jagwani, the IIT-JEE Advanced topper’s success story is a remarkable example.

Satvat Jagwani secured the All India Rank(AIR) 1 in the JEE Advanced 2015. After securing admission at the Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Bombay, Satyam left it after two years due to….., read his motivational story here.

Satvat Jagwani from Satna secured the All India Rank 1 by scoring an impressive 469 out of 504 marks. In Class 12, he chose physics, chemistry, and mathematics as his core subjects. Beyond his academic pursuits, Satvat had a keen interest in solving Sudoku puzzles, diving into books, and challenging himself with advanced mathematical problems.

“I have been passionate about mathematics since my childhood and I have developed my interest in programming by seeing its application in finding special kinds of numbers like prime numbers, perfect numbers, etc. Apart from math and CS, I am also very interested in the sciences, especially physics. But I have selected my major as Computer Science,” reads his LinkedIn bio.

“In computer science, I am specifically interested in machine learning and software development. For machine learning, I have taken some courses like Data Analysis & Interpretation at IIT Bombay and Introduction to Artificial Intelligence at MIT. For software development, I have taken a course, Software Systems Lab, and I therefore have experience of working in teams for weekly assignments,” the statement further reads.

However, Satvat Jagwani, who secured the top rank in the IIT-JEE Advanced exam, surprised many with his unexpected decision to leave IIT Bombay. Well, in 2015,  Satvat Jagwani initially took admission at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where he completed 145 out of 268 credits toward a BTech in Computer Science and Engineering by 2017.

But destiny had some other plans. After two years, Satvat decided to leave IIT Bombay. Jagwani took admission in Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2017.

In 2020, he took admission at the Master of Engineering (MEng) program in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT. Jagwani’s decision to leave IIT Bombay was fueled by his aspiration to pursue higher education at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

As per his LinkedIn profile, Jagwani is working as a Software Development Engineer at Cadence Design Systems, where he has been working full-time since November 2021, accumulating over 3 years of experience.
