A 29-year-old software employee, who hails from Bengaluru, alleged that she was raped by a man who had promised to help her find a job in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: A shocking incident has come to light in Hyderabad, where a 29-year-old software employee from Bengaluru alleged that she was heinously raped by a man she met on social media. According to the victim, the man had promised to find her a job in Hyderabad. The woman was raped at a private consultancy in Vengalrao Nagar.

The 29-year-old victim said that after losing her job in Bengaluru, she started hunting for jobs online. During the online job search, she connected to the accused man and became friends with him.

The accused had convinced the victim to relocate to Hyderabad city with the allure of promising job prospects. Taking his advice to heart, the married woman, who was a technology expert, made her way to the city. He lured her into a consulting company under the premise of giving her a hand in enhancing her resume. It is at this firm that he is alleged to have raped the woman.

She finally approached the Borabanda police a few days ago, related to the incident that had taken place in the month of June this year. Rumours are swirling around that the suspect might have a connection with the consultancy. The police said they’d requested her for a formal statement, but she was a no-show. Maybe she was apprehensive about future consequences or dealing with personal issues.
