Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a few unidentified miscreants vandalized the idol of the goddess in the Bhoolaxmi Temple in Hyderabad’s Rakshapuram area on Monday night. The incident has ignited widespread anger among local residents, prompting them to gather at the temple and raise slogans in protest. However, police reached the spot and control the escalating situation.
According to DCP South East Kanti Lal Patil, the idol of the goddess was vandalised on the night of Monday between 11.30 pm and 12 am.
” Police took immediate action and took two people into custody after police had done the tracking through CCTV. Out of that one person is the main responsible. The investigation is in progress,” DCP Patil said.
He added that the primary probe has revealed names of two people in the incident.
“All those responsible for the vandalism will be nabbed. Two people who are responsible directly have been held. At present there is no evidence of political motive behind the attack,” he added.

BJP Bhagya Nagar district president Samreddy Surender Reddy said that this incident happened at Chandrayanagutta Assembly Constituency Riyasat Nagar division, Rakshapuram colony in Bhoolaxmi temple.
He further said that this temple is just 50 square Yards away from the police station.
