Heatwave Alert Issued For Telangana

The IMD has issued heatwave alert for 16 districts in Telangana and temperature if likely to rise beyond 44 degree Celsius.

IMD said heatwave alert will start in 16 districts from April 1 to 3.

The districts that will be affected include Adilabad, Asifabad, Nizamabad, Nirmal, Mancherial.

Jagtiyal, Karimnagar, Pedapally, Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Kamareddy will be worst affected.

Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Medchal will witness higher than usual temperatures for the next three days.

Shivannaguda in Nalgonda recorded highest temperature at 43.1° Celsius, followed by Bhadrachalam at 43° Celsius.

Hyderabad recorded temperatures above 40° Celsius with Jummerat Bazar recording 41.4° Celsius.

IMD has also predicted heatwave conditions for Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka for the next 3-4 days.

Heatwave is likely to hit places in Vidarbha and North Interior Karnataka from April 2 to April 4.

Odisha, Maharashtra, Maratwad will witness heatwave in the next 2-3 days.

Weather office has issued a heatwave warning for Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karaikal, Andhra Pradesh till April 4.
