Chennai Power Cut: The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation or TANGEDCO has announced electricity disruption in selected areas of Chennai city on Sunday, October 14. The power outage will be for five hours. Notably, Chennai has been witnessing massive scheduled power cuts due to maintenance work. However, TANGEDCO assured that if the maintenance work is completed ahead of schedule, power may be restored in the affected areas before the anticipated time. Check the details below.
Selected areas of the Chennai city will face scheduled power cut on Sunday. The electricity will be disrupted from 9 am to 2 pm.
Gummidipoondi: Verkadu, Aathupakkam, Appavaram, Thambureddy Palayam, Rettambedu Main Road, Pethikuppam Railway Bridge, Kuriviagaram villages, Gummidipoondi Bazaar (G.N.T. Road), Balakrishapuram, Enathimelpakkam, Mangavaaram, Thervazhi, Ma.Po.Si Nagar, and Soliambakkam.
Nolambur: Meenakshi Avenue, S.N.P. Garden, S.R.R. Nagar, VGN Nagar 1st to 6th & 8th Block, MGR University, TNHB Phase I & II, Chinna Nolambur, Periya Nolambur, Rajiv Gandhi Street, Jeswanth Nagar, Pananjolai Street, Union Road, MCK Layout, Gurusamy Road, and Service Road.
Radhakrishnan Nagar: Ellayamudhali Street, Seni Amman Koil Street, Lawyer Chinnathambi I,II Street Part, Kummalamman Koil Street, Sri Rangammal Street, Ramanuja Appar Street, Venkatachalam Street, Thandavarya Gramani Street, Stanley area, VOC Nagar, R.K. Nagar, Balu Mudali Street, Bala Arunachala Street, Solaiyappan Street, Thilagar Nagar, G.A. In anticipation of the future power outages, the people are advised to gear up. TANGEDCO assures, if the maintenance work concludes ahead of time, the power could be back on even before 2 pm.
